Waynetown, Oct 27 - Mrs. Joann Higbee, a very highly estemed and Christian woman, died at her home, 3 miles NE of here at 9 o'clock Wednesday night after an illness caused by tuberculois that had extended over 3 years. Mrs. Higbee was born 4 Feb 1867, daughter of Joseph and Martha J. Grenard Phillips. She married Aug 4, 1880 Charles A. Higbee. She had lived all her life in the vicinity of Waynetown and is survived by her husband, 3 sons and a daughter. The latter, Mrs. Ross Humphrey, lives near Waynetown, as do John & Clifford Higbee, while Fred Higbee resides in Indianapolis. The funeral will be Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Baptist Church Rev. Zimmerman officiating. Burial in Waynetown Cemetery.
